I had so much fun playing with the colors on this sock! They are worked top-down. The colorwork is done on the cuff and near the toes with a contrasting heel. So many opportunities to play with color! Test knitters have many so many gorgeous pairs in beautiful colors.
I used Woolly Mammoth Fibre Co Natural Sock for my pair. It is a no-nylon sock yarn, especially made for socks.
The pattern is now available on Ravelry.
I am re-reading The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings, so Bag End is still fresh in my mind. “It was a hobbit hole, and that meant comfort.” JRR Tolkien. Handknit socks are a true comfort, and I especially love curling up in a favorite pair to read or knit. I usually choose audiobooks, so I can do both easily. These socks are perfect for going on adventures and for curling up at home, even if it isn’t a hobbit hole. ♥
