New Patterns I'm Working on and the GDPR
Okay, I’m not sure, but this new regulation put into place is really frustrating to small creators like me, and I'm sure to many small businesses. I know I've put a lot of work into building my mailing list. Now, all my subscribers must once again show they want to receive email from me. It is confusing, because most people will think, "I'm already subscribed," and ignore the request to update their settings. But, it sounds like if settings are not updated, all those subscribers will be dropped off my list, and I have no control over it. Most people will think I'm no longer sending out content when they don't hear from me, and never realize that they need to update or resubscribe in the event they are dropped from the mailing list (without my control.) It is frustrating and sad.
So, if you read this, please look for my message to you in your inbox, regarding the GDPR and take a moment to update your settings. It would mean a lot to me, if we can stay in contact. ♥
And, if you aren't a subscriber yet, you can join using any of the links provided on my site and elsewhere. These are now set up to be compliant with the new regulations, thank goodness.
Now for new stuff! Faded Roses is in testing now and will be available to purchase in a couple of weeks.
It uses a six skein gradient set of Yummy 2-ply from Miss Babs (798 yards) and one skein of Hedgehog Fibres Skinny Singles or 100 yards of fingering weight yarn for the lace portions. I just love how it turned out! The colors gradually fade into each other using the pattern I created and then comes the delicate lace portion that looks like little buds. I'm completely smitten with it!
I am currently finishing up writing the pattern for my next pattern. It is a wrap, knit with two colors of fingering weight yarn. I used 1.5 skeins each of Miss Babs Yummy 2-ply in two colors. Testing for this pattern should begin in a couple of weeks, once it has been tech edited. Here is a little teaser....
Hagrid was released last week. This pattern has two children's sizes and two adult sizes, so it can fit most anyone in your family or on your knitworthy list. I used Nomadic Yarns Twisty Sock in the Hagrid colorway and Miss Babs Yummy 2-ply (fingering or toes) in the Quicksilver colorway.
I have at least three more Potter inspired sock patterns in various stages of development. Eventually, I'm going to create a little collection of all of them, so that everyone will get credit for the ones they have already purchased. And one or two patterns will be exclusive to the collection.
Please look for my Cinderella pattern soon. I have completely rewritten the pattern with my new layout and new photos. It's like a new pattern! If you have already purchased this pattern, the new updated pattern will be dropped in your library very soon. I expect to upload it to Ravelry next week.
Until next time ♥.
