Who doesn’t love Dobby! I am so happy I am able to bring the pattern I’ve had in my head for so long!

I am not very good at drawing, so my husband sketched him on knitting graph paper; then I had to make those curves he drew take shape in knitting. I think we did it!

July 31st is the perfect day to release the last three patterns in this collection. It is HP’s birthday and the birthday of one of my daughters.♥ See my other HP inspired sock patterns. I have one for each book.

This pattern is worked top-down. A photo and video tutorial is provided for the afterthought heel that leaves no gaps! The pattern is written and charted.

Materials Needed

Yarn
1 skein of Nomadic Yarns Twisty Sock, 400 yards per skein or 400 yards of fingering weight yarn
and
1 skein of Knit Picks Stroll, 231 yards per skein or 50 yards of fingering weight yarn for contrast color.

Needles
2.25 mm (US 1) and 2.75 mm (US 2) circular or double-pointed needles or size needed for correct gauge

Notions
Tapestry needle, beginning of round marker, two different stitch markers and two locking stitch markers

Gauge
32 sts and 36 rounds per 4” in stockinette
