Shoulder Baskets

It is definitely feeling like summer! This is the basket that I call a Shoulder Basket…I’m considering renaming it the Journey Basket, since it is so good for so many things while out and about, like flower gathering, foraging, picnics, beach fun, library trips, knit or crochet nights, craft retreats, farmer’s markets, etc. The list of things it can help with seems endless!

You can find more of them in the shop.

The baskets are handmade in Ghana and are ethically sourced. The weavers, primarily women, support their families by weaving these baskets using sustainable, locally grown straw. The straw is cut, and the roots are left to continue to grow. The baskets are fair trade, natural, sustainable and handmade. On average, a woman makes two baskets per week in between caring for her family.
